Dreaming Days

The lure of the outdoors during the summer months pulls me away from the studio. There will be an increase in painting and creating throughout the autumn/winter/spring months.

With this in mind, the studio had a de-clutter and tidy. I have sorted through various unfinished craft projects. Donated some unwanted fabrics and trimmings to a local craft group. A few trips to donate clutter to charity shops. Sold some bits and bobs on eBay (to finance the purchasing of further clutter!). All in all, cleared the way for the new season/s ahead.






One of the (many) projects to complete was this Dreamcatcher. Legend has it that Dreamcatchers filter out all bad dreams and only allow good thoughts to enter our mind. Created using a vintage crochet doily stretched and stitched over a wire hoop. Ribbon, lace, trimmings attached to hang from the bottom. Collected beads. Shells thrifted from beach travels.
